  • Being a Gold Medalist in Journalism, I have written about ‘APARTHEID AND RACIAL DISCRIMINATION IN SOUTH AFRICA’. I have also written a number of articles on children’s literature. I keep on writing on topics like Child Labour, Human Rights, DAV Movement, India’s Education Scenario, Gender Bias & Intolerance for Girl Child, Sustainable Development, Girl Foeticide and much more through different media.

  • Facilitating and mentoring students in organizing dramatizations of various literature lessons, Debates & Declamation, Role-Plays, Quizzes based on Language and Linguistic aspects, News Editing and Reading, Book-review, Radio Shows, Press Conference, Talk Show, Ad-Designing and Presentation, Group Discussions  & posting Articles, Comments & encouraging to write self composed poems, developing appreciation for language to strengthen the Expression & Communication Skills of the students. Activities like Turn Coat and Our Perspective in which a group of students present their viewpoint through Role-Play, PowerPoint Presentation and Research Paper Presentation on various burning social issues like Suicidal Attempts, Honour Killing, Drug Abuse, Corruption, Peer Pressure, Human Trafficking etc.


  • Smart Board TechnologyEye-ris which is a multi-touch, multi-user, Interactive White Board System to facilitate the teaching-learning process to become more interesting and effective. The video annotations, graphics, animation, 3-D effects, geometrical tools, easy accessibility to open-source internet tools and many more features make it highly effective.


  • Technology Aided Learning: Wi-Fi system in the school campus, Usage of BhartiyaVidya (JIL) capsules which explains the topic with 3-D graphic animated visuals, Open Source Software tools like Geogebra, Pivot-Stick, Exe, Scratch etc., Software like Movie-making, Flash, Corel Draw, Photoshop. Home Theatre System, DTH service, collection of a number of CDs & DVDs, Computers (with Internet facility) and TV in all the Nursery classes, Library, all Laboratories and Conference Hall which all act as Resource Centers loaded with all the relevant software mentioned above.


  • In addition to the main library, the school has also adopted the concept of class libraries in all the classes to imbibe effective reading habits in children and providing them easy accessibility to books.

The Portal P2C Connect communicates the students’ academic and behavioural patterns to the parents, gives them important information and notices and answers the queries of the parents instantaneously. The school website has thus become interactive.


  • A series of workshops are organized in our school for students as well as for teachers based on the principles of “Being Mindful in Education” and in various areas of life. Under this, we cover various topics like Conscious and unconscious mind, becoming aware, how students can overcome the problems of concentration and attention by becoming aware and more mindful.


  • Physical Education in Curriculum (PEC) has been taken up in an extensive way in our Primary Classes through the use of PEC Cards. Concepts like Dodging Tables, Prime Numbers, Identification of Shapes, Body Parts, Grammatical Concepts and many more are being dealt with PEC Cards very effectively.


  • Highly effective Sensorial Activities are being taken up with Nursery and Elementary deptt. students to enhance their sensorial skills of listening, recognition of sounds, development of attention span, differentiating between tastes, classifying objects by the sense of touch and vision; so on and so forth. All these activities also help to enhance the vocabulary of the children.


  • Under the aegis of Heritage Club and Theme of the Month for DAV Haat, students of Class VI onwards exhibit a magnificent display of all the aspects ranging from Geography, Culture, Heritage Sites, History, Lifestyle, Handicrafts, Cuisine, Tourism etc. of the Theme Indian States like Kerala, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal etc.


  • The school holds events and activities specially dedicated to each subject  like Expressions for English Language, Strotasvini for Hindi, Bhavanjali for Sanskrit, Parle-en-Francais-French Fiesta for French events, Heritage for Social Science, Anveshan for Sciences, Octave for Mathematics, E-Comm Funda  and Corporate Funda for Commerce and Economics, Les Dessinateurs for Fashion events, Disha and Pradyotnam for Counselling programmes and Parishkrit meant for IT related events. All these events are organized and conducted by the respective Subject Clubs.


  • Exclusive Counselling Department along with Special Education wing to cater to the special needs of our students in academics, life-skills, career guidance, and emotional, psychological and social protocols of life. We are strongly in the favour of the concept of Inclusive Education, take care of slow learners, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Autism, ADHD, Hyper-activity cases, Physically challenged and multiple disability cases. Special assignments and projects are created for gifted students, for the weaker students, special remedial classes and tutorials are held to help them come up to the class level in addition to the Peer Facilitator Group working at every class level. The Peer Facilitators also help the Counsellors to conduct sessions on Life Skills with the student groups.
