“Every state has the primary duty to protect its own population from grave and sustained violations of human rights, as well as from the consequences of humanitarian crises, whether natural or man-made." - Pope Benedict XVI

Furthering our motto of creating responsible global denizens, SLS DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, MAUSAM VIHAR celebrated the World Population Day. World Population Day is observed on 11th July. It is aimed to highlight the problems of overpopulation and raise awareness about the effects of overpopulation on the environment and development. This year the theme of WORLD POPULATION DAY 2022 is : "A world of 8 billion: Towards a resilient future for all - Harnessing opportunities and ensuring rights and choices for all"

Students were made aware about the maternal health, gender equality and the related global issues through various creative activities like collages, posters and cartoon strips. Students also highlighted the theme of this year’s Population Day through a very innovative Graffiti Wall which was inaugurated by our respected Principal ma’am. A special assembly was also held where the issues of overpopulation were highlighted. Principal Ma’am in her address emphasised the importance of planned families and the need harness the human resource in the right manner.

We are moving towards a resilient future to curb global population crisis.
